Why PDFella

Watermark, done right

  • Text or logo

Type any text or use a PNG/JPG logo.

  • Live preview

See exactly how it looks before applying.

  • Behind or on top

Place it under the content for a subtle mark.

  • Runs in your browser

Your PDF never leaves your device.

Choosing watermark settings

For drafts and confidential documents, a diagonal text watermark at 20–30% opacity is clearly visible but leaves the content readable. For branding, a small logo in a corner at higher opacity works best. Tiling makes it harder to crop the watermark out.

Who uses Watermark?

  • Businesses

Mark drafts as DRAFT or CONFIDENTIAL.

  • Photographers

Brand portfolio PDFs with a logo.

  • Publishers

    Watermark review copies.
